Rare find 1987 VW Scirocco 16V For Sale By Owner
Found this a runner that was listed on craigslist looking for a new home, the second generation of the Mediterranean wind offered by German manufacturer Volkswagen in the 80s known as the Scirocco. Hard to find today, You will not see often on the road, this a North American version, were is offered for the United States and Canadian user, which is slightly different from those of Scirocco's sold around the world, due to different emission and safety regulations.This 1987 VW Scirocco 16V runs and drives well with 187K miles on it. It could be a nice project, but you must see this before starting it, a good-looking, 1986 Volkswagen Scirocco 16V.
Yes, the Scirocco is a high-performance car before effectively being replaced by the more expensive Corrado in the VW line-up was aimed further upmarket. Rare find 1987 Scirocco 16v 5 speed. Car runs and drives as it should. 187K miles. Excellent Recaro leather seats and period correct BBS wheels. New items installed - brakes and rotors, shift linkages, timing belt, water pump, fuel pump, fuel filter, oil filter cooler, coolant hoses, oil pan gasket, fresh oil change and coolant. Has two small areas of rust to resolve, needs paint, odometer repair, and A/C work. Too many projects and this one needs a new home. Fun car to drive and super rare. You just don’t see them one the road. I have a clean Carfax report that I'm happy to share with a potential buyer. Prefer cash sale but will consider trades.
