Fully Restored 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 For Sale
Found this one of the most comfortable offroad vehicles made by the Japanese automaker Toyota in the 80s, as shown here is Land Cruiser FJ60 built in 1987 has been fully restored with a complete engine rebuild. That was posted on craigslist about six days ago asking $40,000 located in Los Angeles, California.The Land Cruiser is the longest-running series of four-wheel drive vehicles ever made by Toyota from the 50s to the present, has many variants and models, and all have the high off-road capability but especially the FJ60 series was designed as a comfort-oriented model. Full restored 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 with complete engine rebuild. The truck was refinished in its metallic gray, the 4.2-liter inline-six was overhauled, and clutch components were replaced in its four-speed manual transmission among other refurbishments. Equipment includes a two-speed transfer case, a Front Runner roof rack, 15″ steel wheels, 33″ BFGoodrich tires, manually locking front hubs, power-assisted front disc brakes, air conditioning, and a push-button AM/FM radio. This FJ60 shows 236k miles and is offered with recent service records, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The truck was refinished in metallic gray after the body was stripped and metal repairs were completed in 2022. The chrome bumpers were replaced in September 2022, and a Front Runner Slimline II roof rack was fitted. Headlight washers, dual side mirrors, bright trim, a rear wiper, a receiver hitch, and a single polished exhaust outlet are other exterior elements.
The 15″ steel wheels wear bright hubcaps and 33×10.50″ BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires mounted. The steering knuckles were also refurbished, and the tie rod assemblies were replaced. Aisin manually locking front hubs and Old Man Emu suspension components and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The front bucket seats and folding rear bench are trimmed in beige patterned cloth and brown vinyl. Appointments include air conditioning, brown carpets, black all-weather floor mats, and a push-button AM/FM radio.
The carbureted 4.2-liter 2F inline-six was overhauled by Cruiser Tech of Laguna Hills, California, in May 2022. The cylinder head and engine block were machined, and the following components were replaced:
