Outstanding Condition, 1978 Land Cruiser FJ40
Here's awesome off-road vehicle based on the Land Cruiser FJ40 1978 model year, was being offered in Craigslist about 19 days ago for $32000 in Southern Oregon. It probably a great survivor sample of the FJ40 in here. The owner says is outstanding car, never gotten a restoration touch all original with extremely well maintained, runs and drives perfect like a new car and no issue.Excellent condition a white 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 all original looks clean and tidy inside and out. As we've see the photos here, it has a perfect and solid body frame no rust, no dent, the car has been driven about 55780 miles. Very potential as off-road camper or just kept it as a nicest collection item sitting in your dry storage. You should come to see for actual condition.

If you're looking at this ad then you're like me, love older Land Cruisers! This really is the nicest one I've ever had, dream to drive, loaded for bear, all original, and everything works. I must admit, I haven't had it that long, bought it because it was in such outstanding condition and not one that had been restored, just well cared for. My problem is I'm trying to get a garage/shop built at my new house and am running low on funds so, dang it, she's up for sale if the price is right. Aside form me telling you how it's all original, including paint (though it does have touch ups all around just not a repaint covering rust, bondo, etc.), seats, floor mats, tools, jack, and more. I think the only things non original are the lights on the Confer Roof Rack, radio which is a am/fm/cd, and the 31" BF Goodrich Mud Terrain Tires which have got less then 500 miles on them, and the wheel well flares. There is a small metal crack on the front passenger fender, see picture. Pictures speak for themselves but please let me know if you need anything more specific.
This is the ad from when I bought it. It mentions stickers on doors, they have been removed but left SLIGHT discoloration, they were for a hunting guide in Idaho:
Beautiful 1978 Landcruiser FJ40 in outstanding condition. The most coveted year of the FJ40's and last year of the classic round bezel. 55413 original miles on the stock 6 cylinder, 4.2L, 2F engine and 4 speed transmission. Recent full tune up, runs and drives excellent. Only ethanol free (E0) premium gasoline has ever been used in this engine and it purrs. Warn locking hubs, four wheel drive (both High and Low) works perfectly. Stock suspension with new Rancho shocks, bushings and steering stabilizer. Original wheels and hubcaps with brand new BF Goodrich 31 X 10.5 Mud Terrain T/A Radials (including the spare) with less than 20 miles on them. Vehicle also comes with the original spare tire (not pictured). Rubberized undercoating last summer to resist rust and reduce noise. Original Paint (Toyota #031) touched up in areas due to scratches and rock chips. The vinyl door decals are easily removed. I have removed the phone# and address info decals already. No rust or bondo anywhere on this vehicle. It has never been wrecked or in an accident. Dash and firewall are the original paint as well. Hell-For-Stout front bumper holds a 1980 Warn 8274 winch, in excellent condition (comes with remote). Also comes with the original/stock front bumper (see picture). Stock rear bumperettes. Vehicle also comes with a HD rear bumper with a 2" receiver, and a tow bar that mounts to the front bumper (see picture). Tow bar includes 2 KC Daylighter off road lights and connects to a 2" ball.
Interior is in excellent condition. Seats (front and back) are perfect. No rips, tears, or worn spots. The headliner and visors are excellent as well. Front and rear floor mats are near perfect. Was just offered $500 for them when I drove it into town last week. All gauges, lights, heater, fan, rear heater, wipers, windshield washer squirter, horn, interior light, seat belts, windows and doors work as they should. Even the seat belt buzzer and light work when you start it up. Had a CB and radar detector in it when I purchased it (hence the vintage rear antenna), but I removed them. They come with the vehicle (see picture) and can be easily reinstalled. Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo system with detachable face works excellent. Theft-Proof Kill-Switch installed so the vehicle does not drive off without you.
This vehicle has a vintage 1980 Con-Ferr Inc. Safari roof rack with 4 new offroad halogen navigator lights, axe, shovel and high-lift jack (elk horns not included). It also has 2 ski-racks (not installed, see picture). Vehicle comes with the stock/original jack and Toyota tool kit, mounted under the driver's seat, 2 jack bars mounted behind rear seat, and the original glove box emergency light. The top comes off with 18 bolts. Doors with 7 bolts. I have a set of Besttop "Half soft doors" that we use when the top is off (see picture). Windshield folds down and hooks to the hood.
