Here a rare American high performance 2-door coupe was offered by AMC, based on second generation of the AMC Matador range that was called "X" Sport Coupe released in 1974 only 3277 ever built and this one of them, still in good condition has 110000 original miles on it.While not so perfect as a show car, it's still would be a nice classic car on road, the coupe appears to be in remarkable condition for its ages. 1974 AMC Matador 2 door "X" Sport Coupe. (8-4-15 just R&R gas tank and line, changed oil and filter, new plugs and adjusted carb). This is a pretty rare little car...only 10K were built that were the X coupe and only 3277 with the 360 V8 engine. Has a very stout factory 360 V8 with a new Holly 4 BBL (added), automatic transmission with bucket seats and floor console shift and cold factory A/C. Also has new dual exhaust with flowmasters. Interior is still nice and in great shape. Has chrome valve covers (have original) and nice under the hood. Has good radial white lettered tires. Paint is good but not show quality. Has a couple of small surface rust spots behind front wheels but could be easily fixed. I drive this car everywhere and wouldn't be scared to take it anywhere in the country. This is a great starter car and a good inexpensive way to get into the antique and classic cars. It could be a daily driver or just a weekend fun car for local shows, etc. It gets alot of attention everywhere I drive it because most people haven't seen one like it. It is a sharp and unusual little car.
