1928 Bugatti Type 35A Recreation
Type 35 was the most successful racing model produced by French high-performance car maker The Bugatti, and here's a less expensive version of Type 35. It's a Bugatti type 35A built-in 1928. Originally The factory's Type 35A name was ignored by the public, who nicknamed it "Tecla" after a famous maker of imitation jewelry. The Tecla's engine used three plain bearings, smaller valves, and coil ignition like the Type 30. While this decreased maintenance requirements, it also reduced output. 139 of the Type 35As were sold and this is one of them, so it's a rare car today.Detail about this car by owner
1928 Bugatti type 35A recreation that was commissioned in the late 1960’s by a Bugatti owner who wanted to use it as his everyday car.
The car was built by Mike King racing based in kent, using whatever Bugatti parts he could find in the owners Barn and either make or source everything else using the front part of a 1964 triumph chassis. The body is believed to be an original aluminium Bugatti body. The engine is a Triumph straight 6 cylinder with twin su’s. The wheels are 19 inch and are shod in the correct Blockley tyres. The gearbox is an outside shift as per original.
